BE THE ULTIMATE EVENT CHAMELEON

Whether you're a seasoned event planning professional or you just have a natural sense and love for hosting, deciding on specific elements of your event is crucial to its success. As a host or party planner it's imparitive that you determine exactly what your guests are hoping for and expecting from their event.
Adapting to each individual clients needs can be exhausting but it's the definite mark of a great, caring and professional event planner. That and of course being;  super organized, charming, creative and you must undoubtedly be a terrific listener.

Below we've compiled what we believe to be 3 important rules to live by when planning an event for someone else.

BE A CHAMELEON
Events are never ending and there's always something or someone to celebrate. Being able to adapt to each clients specific needs and visions can be tough especially while juggling multiple events at a time. The key, as mentioned above is staying extremely organized and really investing yourself in your clients vision.
The best and most successful event planners are ones who immerse themselves in the process and sincerely care about their clients happiness and satisfaction. You and only you as the event planner are in a great position to make that happen

OFFER UP YOUR CREATIVITY
You've been chosen to curate this event because you're good at what you do. Communicating confidently with your clients is a huge asset to have and pushing the boundaries is sometimes a necessity.
If you're thinking that certain elements of the event could be elevated don't be afraid to say so. All you can do is offer up the best, most inventive and creative ideas to your clients and then mold them to fit their vision.
Your clients may not take any of your inventive ideas or solutions but they'll know that you're on the ball when it comes to creativity.

BE CLEAR &  FIRM
Every now and then you may face a challenge when you can't deliver exactly what the client wants. This could be because of venue restrictions, security or a multitude of other reasons and yes, this may indeed upset your client.

Laying out exactly what could be done and what can't due to venues, capacity etc. is a definite must in the early stages of party planning. Never let your client believe they can have something only to disappoint them. Being upfront at the beginning is best and they'll definitely appreciate your honesty and willingness to help them achieve what they envision.
