PRIDE GUIDE FINALE 2018

The culmination of Pride month is upon us and the city is buzzing with proud Torontonians and tourists from far and wide. Of course pride month has been happening since the beginning of June but as everyone knows, the real party is this Sunday with the extremely popular attraction, the pride parade.

Here's a list of Pride activities happening on the final weekend courtesy of the star.com. Time to plan your weekend party route!

On Friday evening, the 2018 Trans March will begin at 8 p.m., with a rally beforehand at 7 p.m., at the intersection of Church and Hayden Sts.

Friday night also sees the seventh year of BlackOut, a safe space and performance showcase for Black, African, Caribbean and multiracial youth, held by the organization BQY (Black Queer Youth) on the North Stage.

On Saturday and Sunday, Family Pride will take place at Church St. Public School, with events and programming created for children ages 12 and under, and LGBTQ+ families.
The Toronto Dyke March is also on Saturday, with a rally at 1 p.m. and the march at 2 p.m., at the intersection of Church and Hayden Sts. The event is a political demonstration, with a post-march rally at Allan Gardens featuring performances.
The weekend will also include a street fair from Friday to Sunday featuring exhibitors and vendors from Carlton to Dundas Sts. on Church St.
After the Pride parade Sunday, a celebration at Yonge-Dundas square starting at 5 p.m. will feature live music, drag performances, DJs, and Grammy-nominated musician Kehlani.

This year's Pride has already been a rousing success with events like the Inside Out Women's Gala sponsored in part by my great friends at Aura who provided the LED glow furniture for the evenings Gala.
