MUST - DO SUMMER EVENTS IN THE CITY : EDITION 1

Toronto, are you ready for Summer?

I know I am!! There are so many great events taking place in Toronto this year that it'll be hard to choose which ones to attend, if you can't attend them all that is! In a city so diverse, welcoming and intriguing it would be hard NOT to explore it this summer.
Which is why today, we're presenting  Edition One of our Must-Do Toronto Summer Events. We'll be posting lists of events all summer long to make sure you don't miss out on any.



Pride parade 
When: June 22-24

The pinnacle of acceptance and equality, the annual Pride Weekend in Toronto promises to be the best yet.
Street markets highlighting local artists, performance art, delectable food and the ever popular Pride Parade will reign supreme during this three day event.
The parade will commence at 2pm on Sunday, June 24th with a special moment of silence at 3pm.
Where: This year the parade route remains the same from church and Wellesley to Yonge/Dundas Square.
Free admission / open to all.



Burger Fest Toronto 
When: July 13-15 #burgerfestto
Where: Campbell House Museum , 160 Queen St. West. 

Who doesn't love a burger? Vegetarians welcome as this year the selection has widened to veggie and fish burgers as well.
Beer gardens, live music and games plus burgers? What more could you really want out of a weekend.
Tickets to this event can be purchased online.



Woodbine Park Food Truck Festival
When: AUG 3-6 
Where: Woodbine Park 

The 6th annual food truck festival along with their worthy charitable partner, Sick Kids Hospital has raised over 100,000 to date since its inception.
A family friendly event featuring new food creations and old favourites. Grab some good eats and roam the park for a while taking in the serenity that surrounds the park. Woodbine Beach sits within walking distance.
FREE.


Buskerfest
Where: Aug 31st- Sept 3rd. 
Where: Woodine Park 

A Free event that shines light on Buskerfests' partner, Epilepsy Canada. Although the event is free donations are strongly encouraged to continue the fight against epilepsy while funding research for the cause.
If you've ever been before you'll know what to expect, everything!
Performance artists, fire breathers, artists, live music, games and more. This family friendly festival has become a staple in the Toronto Communiy and shows no sign of stopping.


Kids Scavenger Hunt
Where : Evergreen Brickworks
When: Anytime
FREE 

Stop by the spectacular grounds of Evergreen Brickworks if you're looking for a fun, outdoor activity to do with your kids. 2 scavenger hunts for seperate age groups that can be completed at your leisure. Enjoy nature and family time with this worthwhile activity!
